SmrekoVET Klasik is a spruce resin ointment in a large 2500 ml package for external use on animals.

It is made with an entirely natural fatty base and contains a high proportion of spruce resin. Its greasy, long-lasting base makes it particularly practical for use on cows, horses and other larger animals, as well as on larger areas.

About the product

SmrekoVET Klasik is a traditional spruce resin ointment in a large 2500 ml package, intended for external use on animals. It is made with an entirely natural fatty base and a high proportion of spruce resin.

SmrekoVET Klasik has the same composition as Smrekovit Klasik. They differ mainly in package size and in the product labelling adapted for use on animals.

The large package is particularly practical:

for cows and horses,
for frequent use,
on larger areas,
on farms and in barns,
when smaller packages are not economical.

The greasy, hydrophobic base allows the product to remain in contact with the skin for longer. It is also practical for animals because the product is more difficult to remove completely through licking, rubbing or movement.

Use

SmrekoVET Klasik is used externally on selected areas of the skin, udder, joints and other strained or injured areas.

We have the most practical experience with use on:

cows,
horses,
dogs,
cats,
other domestic and farm animals.

For animals with thick or long fur, part the fur before application. If necessary, trim it over a small area so that the product reaches the skin directly.

Apply the product evenly and directly to the selected area. Adjust the amount according to the size of the area. If the animal removes most of the product by licking or rubbing, repeat the application as needed.

Use with gauze

When covering the area is practical, SmrekoVET Klasik can be applied to sterile non-woven gauze and placed on the selected area. The method of securing it must not restrict circulation or the animal’s movement.

Use on the udder

In cows, apply the product evenly to the udder or the selected area of udder skin, usually after milking.

Spruce resin, an ointment base made of natural plant fats and beeswax

elaeis guineensis butter (palm fat), helianthus annuus seed oil (sunflower oil), pinacea resin (conifer resin), cera alba (beeswax), cucurbita pepo seed oil (pumpkin seed oil), pinus sylvestris leaf oil*, limonene***

Warnings

For external use on animals only.

Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to spruce resin or any of the product’s ingredients. When using the product for the first time on a sensitive animal, test it on a small area of skin first.

Avoid contact with the eyes. When applying near the eyes, use with care and only on the external skin.

A veterinary examination is particularly necessary:

in cases of high or rising body temperature,

for deep injuries or heavy bleeding,
for bites,
if a fracture or another serious injury is suspected,
if redness or swelling spreads rapidly,
if foul-smelling discharge comes from the injured area,
if the animal does not eat or drink,

when the cause of the problem is unclear.

Use of the product and veterinary treatment are not mutually exclusive. SmrekoVET Klasik is not a veterinary medicine and does not replace veterinary diagnosis or necessary treatment.
