Smrekovit compress
The Smrekovit compress is a simple textile aid made of cotton with a polyurethane coating, designed to prolong the effect of the spruce resin ointment or cream. It is vapor-permeable and allows the skin to breathe. By using the Smrekovit compress:

you prevent the ointment or cream from being wiped off,

you enhance the effect of spruce resin,

you allow it to work overnight or during rest.
The compress is especially recommended for:
- more persistent problems,
sensitive areas where the spruce cream or ointment tends to disappear more quickly (e.g. wiped off onto clothing, etc.),
Use

Apply the cream or ointment (Smrekovit Classic or Smrekovit 365) to one side of the compress in an appropriate amount.

Place the coated side on the desired area – back, knee, shoulder, etc.

Secure with medical adhesive tape, a bandage, or an elastic net (available in pharmacies).

If necessary, apply an additional layer of cream over the existing one..

Wash only when necessary – at 95 °C, without fabric softeners.

Is the spruce cream suitable for daily use?
Yes. All Smrekovit products are designed for daily use. The spruce cream absorbs quickly, does not leave the skin greasy, and is therefore suitable for multiple applications throughout the day.
What is the difference between Smrekovit 365, Extra, and Alter?

Smrekovit 365 is the basic cream with a high content of spruce resin.

Smrekovit 365 Extra also contains camphor and menthol, which provide a cooling or warming sensation. The resin content is the same as in Smrekovit 365.

Smrekovit 365 Alter contains Boswellia resin instead of spruce resin, making it suitable for people allergic to conifer resin.

Does the cream contain any synthetic ingredients?
No. All Smrekovit products are made from natural ingredients, without added synthetic fragrances, colorants, or preservatives. They also hold ORGANIC and/or VEGAN certification. The spruce cream is no exception.
Where can I apply the spruce cream?
The spruce cream can be applied to any part of the body – most often users apply it to the muscles, joints, spine, feet, hands, and neck. Thanks to its good absorbency, it is also suitable for daytime use. The spruce cream is not suitable for application on mucous membranes or large open wounds. For these purposes, use Smrekovit Classic.
Is the spruce cream suitable for children and the elderly?
Smrekovit 365 and Smrekovit 365 Alter are also suitable for children and the elderly. For small children (up to 3 years), we recommend using the versions without camphor and menthol, meaning the Classic or Alter versions. An allergy to spruce resin is possible in both children and the elderly, so for complete certainty, you can first test it with a 4-day patch test on a hidden area of the skin.
Can the spruce cream also be used during summer?
Yes. The spruce cream does not contain photosensitive ingredients and can also be used in sunlight.
In hot weather, it may become softer, or in extreme heat, the oily phase may separate (it can still be used and this does not affect its effectiveness) – in that case, store it in a cooler place.Does the spruce cream have a shelf life?
Yes, all spruce creams have a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture when stored at room temperature and protected from direct light. However, this is the minimum shelf life, and the spruce cream can still be used after that time if its smell, appearance, or texture has not changed.
