35 years of Smrekovit - from tradition to innovation

The year 2025 is a special one for Smrekovit – we are celebrating 35 years of existence! The story of Smrekovit began in 1990, when Ivo Konc developed the first ointment made from spruce-resin-based. He realized that spruce resin could offer a natural solution to his own back problems. With his dedication and perseverance, he laid the foundations on which Smrekovit still stands today.

Initially, the ointment was applied in small quantities in front of the garage of the family house, but its remarkable effectiveness quickly led to its widespread use. Users became product ambassadors as they experienced first-hand the incredible effects of spruce resin.

Growth and development - continuing the family story

Smrekovit did not stop with the ointment. Over the years, it developed new products, processes and production standardsthat shaped the company into what it is today. A key role in this growth was played by Matic Konc, who brought Smrekovit into the modern era with his knowledge and innovative approach.

Under his leadership, the company:
