About the product

Smrekovit Kontakt is a washable cotton compress
designed to keep selected Smrekovit products in contact with the
application area for longer. It helps keep the product in place
while reducing cream or ointment rubbing off onto clothing and bedding.

The compress consists of two thin cotton layers with a polyurethane
membrane between them. Both outer sides are therefore equivalent,
and the product can be applied to either side of the compress.

The polyurethane membrane limits the passage of cream or ointment
through the compress, while the cotton surfaces remain comfortable
against the skin. Kontakt is designed for repeated use and does not
need to be washed after every application.

Use

Apply
Smrekovit Klasik,
Smrekovit 365 Prima
or
Smrekovit 365 Alter
to one side of the Smrekovit Kontakt compress and place the coated side
on the desired area. If necessary, secure it with an elastic net bandage,
a bandage or another suitable method.

Where practical, the compress may remain in place for a longer period,
including during the day and overnight. If this is not practical,
use it at least overnight.

The compress does not need to be washed before every reapplication.
Apply a fresh amount of cream or ointment to the same previously used
side. The compress gradually becomes impregnated with the product,
so less product is usually required for subsequent applications.

Wash Kontakt as needed, for example when it becomes dirty or saturated
with perspiration. It can be washed at up to 95 °C and may also be
tumble-dried.

Important: Do not use Smrekovit Kontakt together
with Smrekovit Ekstra products.

Material and construction

Smrekovit Kontakt is made from two thin layers of
100% cotton with a
polyurethane membrane between them.

Because the polyurethane layer is enclosed between the two cotton
surfaces, both outer sides of the compress are equivalent.
Cream or ointment can therefore be applied to either side.

The inner membrane limits cream or ointment from passing through
the compress, while cotton forms the surface that is in direct contact
with the skin. The compress is washable, durable and designed for
long-term repeated use.

Safety and warnings

Use Smrekovit Kontakt only with products for which this method of use
is recommended.

Do not use it together with Smrekovit Ekstra products.
Prolonged contact with products containing menthol and camphor under
the compress may cause irritation or skin sensitivity in some users.

Do not secure the compress too tightly. If irritation, pronounced
redness or another adverse reaction occurs during use, discontinue use.

Wash Kontakt as needed. Allow it to dry thoroughly before using it again.

Frequently asked questions

Does it matter which side of the compress I apply the product to?

No. Smrekovit Kontakt has cotton on both outer sides, while the
polyurethane membrane is enclosed inside. Cream or ointment can
therefore be applied to either side.

Do I need to wash Smrekovit Kontakt after every use?

No. For repeated use, apply a fresh amount of cream or ointment to
the same previously used side. Wash Kontakt only when needed, for
example when it becomes dirty or saturated with perspiration.

Which Smrekovit products can I use with Kontakt?

Smrekovit Kontakt can be used together with
Smrekovit Klasik,
Smrekovit 365 Prima
and
Smrekovit 365 Alter.

Can I use Smrekovit Kontakt with Smrekovit Ekstra products?

No. Do not use Smrekovit Kontakt together with Smrekovit Ekstra
products. Prolonged contact with products containing menthol and
camphor under the compress may cause irritation or skin sensitivity
in some users.

How long can the compress remain in place?

Where practical, the compress may remain in place during the day
and overnight. If this is not practical, it can be used at least
overnight.

How often should I reapply the product to the compress?

During prolonged use, cream or ointment can generally be reapplied
about twice a day or as needed. Always reapply it to the same
previously used side.

Is Smrekovit Kontakt disposable?

No. Kontakt is designed for long-term repeated use. It can be washed
at up to 95 °C and may also be tumble-dried.
